Oscar is a results‑driven litigator with broad experience representing clients in complex matters in state and federal courts nationwide. Clients rely on him for strategic guidance from pre‑litigation assessment through trial and appeal. He has successfully resolved matters through motion practice, trial, arbitration, and mediation. Oscar regularly advises clients ranging from emerging businesses to global companies.
Client Work
Representative matters include:
- Obtained dismissal on demurrer of a putative false advertising class action on behalf of a consumer products manufacturer in Los Angeles County Superior Court involving BPA‑free labeling claims.
- Obtained dismissal at the pleading stage of a copyright infringement action in which the plaintiff alleged that a legendary rock band stole his song. The Eastern District of Louisiana’s dismissal was affirmed by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Secured a jury verdict for willful trademark infringement and punitive damages following a two-week trial in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against a global sports apparel company.
- Secured settlement of a trademark and copyright infringement action in the Central District of California involving a renowned photographer’s disputed use of his photographs of a legendary hip‑hop artist.
- Obtained dismissal at the pleading stage for a third‑party payroll and human resources provider in a consolidated data breach class action in the Middle District of Florida.
- Secured a consent judgment for a luxury candy retailer in the Central District of California, with the defendant admitting liability for infringement of the client’s copyrights, trade dress, and trademarks and agreeing to a $2 million judgment.

Pro Bono Work
Oscar has experience representing small business owners in ADA accessibility litigation and low-income tenants in unlawful detainer proceedings. He has also provided legal assistance to pro se plaintiffs through the Public Law Center’s federal pro se clinic.
Life Beyond the Law
Outside of his practice, Oscar enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and cheering for UCLA sports and the Los Angeles Rams.
